So I guess thats the first thing...
knowing you are not alone,
the adults even have pressures from people around us
it could be our spouse, parents,
employers, neighbors, other family members

Let me go look it up :)) in the dictionary and lets see what the scholars say it means...

Ok they didn't have Peer Pressure so I had to look them up separate...
Then I guess we get to put the two together :)

WOW!! ok so in terms we can all relate pressure means
Force applied, it can be a condition of physical, mental, social, or economic distress.
Meaning the surrounding you are are in
for example: you want a higher position to make more money
well the guy hired right after you wants it too
so you are under pressure at work
to make sure you do your job to your best ability
and to impress the boss you are the best man for the job.
or another example could be=
your mom tells you not to hang around certain people in your neighborhood
they seem to have a bad reputation
they kinda run the area too so this isn't easy to avoid
you think your mom just don't understand
but you want to obey your mom and at the same time
you don't want trouble from "them" who run the neighborhood
so you are "under pressure"
mom says "you wont get to go out if you dont stay away from them"
they say "you are a big sissy" "whimp" "mamas boy"
Pressure!

Peer = peer (pîr) n.

A person who has equal standing with another or others, as in rank, class, or age: children who are easily influenced by their peers.

A nobleman.

A man who holds a peerage by descent or appointment.

ok so peer is = people who are suppose
to be of equal standing, same class, rank or age...

So you mean to tell me...
the people who influence us with force
are suppose to be at our same level?

hmmmmm but why do they always make us feel like they are superior?
ohhh that must be where Pressure comes in

Peer Pressure = People or peoples who are SUPPOSE to be our equal
pushing us or our feelings around
to get us to do things they want us to do
or making us feel like our position is shaky
because they are better then we are.

ok so we understand what it is....
now what do we do about it?

unless you don't know this already..
peer pressure is identical twins with Spiritual Warfare

Those who "do" the "pressing" works on your weaknesses

You have to learn to be strong
and not be influenced by what they tell you
and live and do according to how you know what is right
and how you feel about what they are asking you to do
to have a strong love and force inside of yourself
and resist bowing to the things around you

To KNOW in who and what you believe in
and not be moved by fear
of what or who or how they say they can do to you

I know it sounds crazy but in most every case I have seen or been through
most of the "tuff" guys are scared of things themselves
and usually are bullying people because they themselves
don't think highly of them self
and use the force to drive others because they don't have the strength
in them self to drive them self

Also usually they will respect you more for standing up for who you are
and not who they want you to be

Now I know there are some just downright evil people
who are determined to harm others
I'm not referring to them
they need allot more help and prayers and
you still don't bow to the things they tell you
sometimes you just have to love with the love of God from a distance

Some of this stuff is simple when it comes to peer pressure
things are allot more open now then they were several years ago
kids are heard and not just seen anymore
their are places to go
and people to help you
you don't have to bow to the pressure
their are other opportunities
but....
it still boils down to
STANDING on what you know is right no matter who or what

The enemy isn't the people around us
they are just pawns for the real enemy

Now if the enemy came to you looking like this...
Would you stand around and listen or
believe anything they had to say?
If the enemy revealed himself for who he really is?
NO
see and he knows that
so he has to use things to deceive you to bring you down
he is a miserable soul and he wants you to be miserable to
then when he gets others miserable he has them thinking
the only way to feel better is to make others miserable
vicious cycle

See what I mean? In most every school or doctors office they have signs like these
Most kids have it drilled in them one way or another.
and we already know that if the enemy came to us looking like this

We would know he is up to no good

So instead he comes in pretty packages

And/Or offers pretty things like....

just so you will "do" things for them

They don't tell you where the stuff came from
or that you may get in trouble if caught
or that they are getting you to do it
so if there is a bust they wont go down YOU will

They usually call you their buddy or friend
and that they care for you more then anyone else
but know this...

If anyone really cares for you
they wont ask you to do things
that make you feel bad or that are illegal

Not to be just preaching but ya know...
The only real way to tell what is right or wrong
is to be saved and baptized
in the Holy Ghost and be lead by HIM
So you can see things for what they are
and be able to have the strength to stand in what is right

They may come to you looking like this

and want you to join them
or give you one of these

to carry around and tell you this is

Someone may come up to that looks like this

acting all kewl and stuff
or ruff and tuff
but let me show you what most of them look like on the inside

yup..scared and lost
who really want to be liked as much as you do
but don't know how to say it or feel it
and / or their self esteem is sooo low they figure they have to "force" people
to be around them or do

to have friends
But if you don't use good common sense
and be lead by the Spirit
you might meet someone else

Do you really wanna meet one of these guys?
Now don't get me wrong Police are good guys *smile*
but they will do what they have to
if you are somewhere you aren't suppose to be
or doing something you aren't suppose to be doing

Peer pressure isn't easy to fight all the time and
I know that some things are easy to pass on
and others not so easy
I've seen kids do drugs or drink to not have to fight
so I understand allot
I've been there myself with my ex husbands
and a few others who have crossed my paths
I know pressure and how it feels
and I know you may be thinking sure
she can put together a few fancy words
and pictures but she just don't understand

We know what peer pressure is...
and we know how it sneaks up on us
and how we have to use our minds and
our inner strength of what we know is right or wrong

We learned in most cases the bully
or peer pressuring us are more afraid then we are
That they are on our level with us
and they truly aren't the enemy
the devil is
That peer pressure is twin of the thing we call Spiritual Warfare

We can better know what is right or wrong
and be given extra strength if we seek God

hmmmmmmmmm
So if I was a teen(or adult)
who was or is under some kind of pressure
the answer to it all would be
Seek God,
Let HIM dwell within me,

Let HIM give me wisdom to know right from wrong

Let HIM give me strength to resist the devil
and anything or anyone the devil brings in my path
that isn't good

To love people and know they truly aren't the enemy,

Let HIM give me peace of mind within myself

To be a good leader and not a follower of bad things
